AFM on 14,15 and 16 5.3

Not sure if I missed this in a another topic,but a friend of mine has a 2013 Silverado with a 5.3. Well it has 32,000 miles on it now and all kinds of problems with oil pressure. He has had it to dealer 3 or 4 times now. He is thinking about getting a 15 or 16. Does anyone know if they are still having problems? I have not seen anything about newer 5.3. But I could have missed it. Any advice would be great.

AFM is still there and there will be some that have issues and some that don't. Why not let the warranty take its course on the current truck? If it can't be fixed, push for a buy back.

The fist couple of times the warranty did cover it. But he is past the 3 years. They said it was the screen and oil pressure sensor. And it was not covers under the power train warranty.
