Got a pullout from a 2014 2500hd. 6.0L, 6L90e & elec tc. Installed into my 1998 K2500. New engine came with ecm & harness for eng / tranny / tc. Purchased correct 2014 underhood fuse panel, bcm, underdash fuse panel, instrument panel, harnesses, column w/ controls, etc. Can start engine and shifts great. Problem is instrument panel gauges and PRND indicator don't work. Instrument panel does light-up and display errors (like no airbag & ABS - expected). Also the reverse lights always 'on' when key turned (with key turned, the bcm is sending signal to reverse light relay on underhood fuse panel). Thinking low spd GMLAN signal not getting to bcm or bcm not programmed? Been losing hair trying to solve issue for last 4 months. Does the new BCM or used Gauge cluster need programming?

I might be too late here - but on the off chance that you're still having a problem with this: I would suggest taking a trip over to Dieselplace dot com - and checking out the Frankenstein forum.

There's a bunch of guys in there who are very familiar with the in's and out's of doing diesel swaps and they might have some good insight into what you have to do to get this all working.

I know I've seen some project trucks in there where Duramax diesels were swapped into trucks from the same generation you're dealing with - might be some good info in there to steer you in the right direction.
