Random Windshield "pop"/ "snap" sound??

Mine does it too and I'm reflexively looking for a huge rock chip every time I hear it. In my case, it is a fairly rare occurrence. I thought it was the windshield until reading this thread about the radio trim.

Mine does the exact same thing and like everyone else I reflexively start looking for a giant crack in my windshield. I have to say though that the frequency of it happening has reduced quite a bit. Where it used to happen once or twice daily now its more like once every couple of weeks.
