Audio Control DQ-61 loud chime

I have a 2014 crew cab and will be installing an Audio Control DQ-61, subs, amps, JL Audio C5s and obviously keep the stock HU (all NON Bose). My question is using the rear signals for the DQ-61 and running a full range speaker off the HU for the chimes/bluetooth or using all 4 channels for full fader function and adjusting amps/eq gains for lowering the chimes? I would swap the front/rear so the chimes/bluetooth would be in the rear and less annoying (not too many passengers in the back). I would like to have full fader function and a well balanced system. I'm a bit concerned with cranking down gains in areas just to lower the chimes and sacrificing good balanced sound. Keep in mind I do talk (cell) in the truck on the road a lot. Has anyone had experience with both for comparison? Thanks for any input!!!

Appears we are both working on similar project at the same time. yesterday, I installed JL C5's in all doors and a JL 9005 amp with a single 10 sub. Sounds great, BUT the factory chimes/turn signal clicks are out of control. Hoping to locate a solve without the expense of the DQ-61....let me know if you get/stumble across any additional info. We are going to try eliminate the full fader control this weekend to see if it helps.

I've read where one individual swapped the front and rear channels so the chimes/bluetooth would all work in the back. He stated that it was better than the front and bearable with a lot of adjustment on the amp gains with minimal sound quality sacrifice. I thought of splitting the front right channel and using both rear channels. That way you would have full fader function with front to back, left to right in the back but no left to right in the front. Then leave the front left channel for a full range speaker for chimes and bluetooth. I'm not sure if that is a good idea, if it would balance out correctly or even would work. Just a thought. You might just have to use the rear channels only and be done with it or purchase a new head unit. Unfortunately the chimes are ran through the head unit and no one (that I'm aware of) has a way of splitting the signal out of the head unit and probably never will. If I do find out an alternate option I will post it.

Good luck...

Happy to report we found a good work around....We wired the 2 factory dash speakers directly to the head unit and not through the amp which eliminated the amplified chimes. Then took the front and rear doors through the amp and eliminated the fader control through the head unit(f&r still adjustable separately through the amp) sounds amazing and factory chimes/handsfree calls play only through the 2 dash speakers. Replaced the single sub with JL stealth box with 2 10W3's.

I have finally finished my install. I tapped into the l/r rear signal along with the front right and split it for the DQ61. I did not touch the front left for the bluetooth and chimes. The install went great, the system sounds great, have f/r fade, bluetooth/chimes work just like stock without amplification and I love this system!!

Thanks for posting the photos! I wasn't aware that the rear seat-back folded down...
