Hello all,

 

I have a 2011 4.8 with a 4 speed. I've read some threads about the temp guage going above 210. Mine is doing that when I'm sitting at idle for a few minutes, and most recently towing in the mountains. Does anyone know if the 5.3 radiator is bigger, and would it fit my truck? I hate seeing my temps climb. Or does anyone know if the fans can be programmed to come on sooner?

This is the 2500/3500HD Forum mostly diesel and 6.0 gas folks here.

 

Instead of changing out the radiator, I'd replace the fan with dual electronic fans that you can set the running temps.
