Another Cargo light mod

Hello everyone. I attempted to run the bridged bcm mod between the backup lights and the cargo lights so my bed lights would come when I unlock my truck at night. While this worked, the backup leds in the towing mirrors would blind you if you were walking to your truck and unlock it at night. I think it was also blinding other drivers.

 

I came up with a more complex way of doing it that used a couple diodes and a relay to complete a logic circuit for my cargo lights that allow the bed lights to come on when the truck is unlocked, and still have normal function all other times.

 

Here is my schematic and notes. All connections were made at the connections under the bed of the truck using the backup camera, backup lamp, and cargo lamp circuits.

I did not take pictures of my install but I have an advanced electronics background and all of my contacts were soldered into the existing harness without cutting the factory wiring except in the truck bed light circuit where the diode needs to be installed in line.
