12 Sierra - Dome Light will not go out

Due to an accident, I recently replaced the driver's door on my 12 Sierra. Now when I shut the door the dome light stays on. If I open the door and manually close the lock with the door open, the light will go out. I have replaced the lock and all of the wiring. What could be causing this?

Does the radio continue to play after you exit the vehicle or does it shut off when the door is open?

When the vehicle is exited, the radio cuts off. The dome light however, continues to burn

Must be a minor tweak if it works when the door is open and you manually latch.

Tweak as in something needs to be adjusted?

Check if maybe the gizmo that the latch hooks on wasn't moved or bent in the accident. Is it a 2,4 doors or extended cab?

Extended cab. If the door locks why should that make a difference? Possibly not locking all of the way?
