06 yukon xl denali, heater hose connection failure to core

i had read that these were prone to failure and pretty much ignored it.

but, looking back on it i realize now that it had been giving me signs of failure for a couple years.

there was a hhiisssssssing noise whenever we turned the car off. You could kind of hear it while the car was running too. ut i figured it was the a/c pressue system. the sound was coming from the heater core Y nipples. ut i never put two and two together.

i did not bother to replace the crap plastic quick connects. i used good old hose and hose clamps and feel much better.

just an fyi on that hissing. was probably cracked and just got worse and worse.

I just replaced the white connector on our 04 suburban. Was leaking on the line going to the rear. New connector might be leaking too though. If it is, I may do the same and find a brass T and use hose to make the connections.
