Fuel starvation?

Alright so I got a 1992 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado edition. It has the 26 gallon (I think) fuel tank, and I've come to notice that at or below a half of a tank if I really mash on it (at lower speeds only) it will get up and go then choke out. I believe that the reason it is doing this is because when it's half a tank or lower and I give it a lot of throttle it sloshes all the gas to the back of tank and it's not able to pick any up. Once you let out and the gas levels back out in the tank (if this is the case) the truck returns to normal idling, running condition. Another reason I feel this is the cause is because even if it's sitting on flat ground if the truck is rocked you can here the gas sloshing around in the tank. Now this isn't really a big issue for me because, even though we all like to spin tires off the line, I just don't drive like that on a normal basis because as a DD I don't want to mess it up but I just want to know if this is normal, if anyone has experienced this before, and if it's not normal what should I do?

I've never had a problem like that on my '94. I would be surprised if it was the gas tank unless maybe it is a 3rd party gas tank.

I think it would more likely be a dirty fuel filter, the fuel pump getting weak, or an injector problem.

The fuel filter is relatively cheap and easy to replace. Look at what comes out of it when you disconnect it.

You would need to check the fuel pressure to determine if the pump is getting weak.
