Bolt Extractor

Hi guys,

Does anyone have a good idea or thought on who to remove a Broken bolt extractor out of a bolt??? It looks as if it was broken awhile ago and it broke right at the head of the rounded off bolt head?

Could you possibly drill it out?

I tried that first, but it's like drilling into the strongest steel every made!!

Can you use the fire-wrench? Thats usually the most sucessful way, just heat teh surrounding area. Or try to blow out the bolt and extractor... Maybe you caould just blow a hole in it and use another extractor?

Have you seen the new ones that Craftsman is putting out now? they look pretty cool

Bolt extractors are a very hard metal. It will be very difficult to drill it out. Try taking a center punch and hitting it with a hammer, use to have to do this and sometimes the extractor will shatter. Hope this helps.
