Cabin filter part no. from Pep Boys

A while back MikeC mentioned that he found the cabin filters at Pep Boys.

What was the part no. or brand, etc. I took mine out once and didn't want to pay the $25 or so from the dealer so I just cleaned them up as best I could. But they do have that nice AC BO smell when I turn on the air so its time to get a new one.

I bought a set of filters from O'Rielly's P/N CF1012. Auto Zone also had them.

What year did GM start putting in Cabin filters?

I also want to replace my cabin filter in my 01 Sub. I thought I heard you had two. Do the part numbers above have the two you need in the box or is there another part number for the second filter. Seems like I heard(or read on this site) that you have a bigger one then a smaller one. I'm going to go see if I can find one(or two) and replace my filter.

Keep in mind you have two filters...there is one behind the first one.

The are both the same size and the ones from Pep Boys come two to the box. Just watch the arrows on the sides of the filter to place them correctly with the air flow.

An email from Fram says their part number includes both filters in the box. The Purolators do indeed have two filters in the box.

I'll be trying to find the Fram ones. They say they also have charcol in them for odor control.

Is there a quick way to tell if you have in cab filters. I didn't think all trucks came with them, so I was wanting to check before I pull everything apart.
