Computer Codes?

I had the battery disconnected a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if that will knock out the updates I had done to my truck because I went to a dealership and had them program it for larger tires. Just wondering if that code and the other ones are gone now or are they still in there?

I don't think that is the case. I had them flash my computer to update it to turn on the fog lights and since have had the battery connected and disconnected a couple of times and they still work. Not sure how the computer stores information without the battery. Something internal? Something similar to a hard drive?

Naw...it won't lose it, it's stored on a ROM chip....kinda like a flash card in digital cameras for lack of a better explanation. it doens't need a power source to save the info. Now if were similar to RAM....well that's a different story for a different day, and I'll quit being a computer geek now
