3500 exhaust pipe...

I'm seeing more and more of the duallies with the pipe curving around the inner wheel on the right side and then turning straight out the back. Is there a real reason for this, cause the only thing I can see it being that way for is to make the truck look more streamlined. Anyone know?

I know what you are talking about. I've seen both. I only see the curved ones on the 3500's and not on the 2500HD's. I thought maybe only the Duramax 3500's would have the curved pipe to keep the soot (sp?) off the paint but I've seen a Duramax 3500 with the straight pipe also, so I'm not sure.

But I have also wondered why 2 different tailpipes and how do you know what you get?

3500s with gas have the curved pipe, and 3500s with D-MAX have the straight pipe?

Verrrrrry In-terest-tink. I'll go ask the stealer here in Fargo and see if they know.
