Sierra wheels question

I went to get my new wheels put on today, but wasn't able to because the shop was out of the type of lugnuts I need, and will have them tomorrow. Anyway, while I was there, the guy that owns the place asked me if I would be interested in selling my factory wheels. He had another truck there that his friend just bought who was looking for Silverado wheels for his Sierra. I told him no because I wanted something to put back on my truck in case I ever need/want to. Then he asked if I would want to trade and the guy give me some money or however we wanted to work it out. I told him to let me think about it and I let him know when I come back to get my wheels put on, which may be Monday if I can't get up there tomorrow. I checked out the wheels that were on the Sierra, and they looked pretty good. They were the aluminum with snap on center caps. I held my center cap up to it and they seemed to be the same size.

My question is, does anyone happen to know if the Silverado center cap, that has the fake plastic lugnuts that thread onto the real lug nuts, will fit on those Sierra wheels the same as they do on the Silverado wheels? Also, are they the same width, offset, and backspacing as the Silverado's? I would think they are. I wish I had a picture of them to show what they looked like, but I can't find one. They are not the chrome wheels, but the clearcoated aluminum ones. If I can find a pic of one, I'll post it.

BTW, it's a newer Sierra, '99-'02.

I would imagine that they are the same because they are the same truck. Just different name. That is a good question though. I have been thinking of selling mine but want to keep them just incase. Let us know what you do. And make sure you get the pics up as soon as you get it home

These the Sierra wheels you're talking about Tom? I got a set for sale as a matter of fact. just got new ones. I don't think the center section of a Silverado wheel with the fake lug nuts will work on these GMC rims. The space under the center cover is not the same, and there are no outside threads on the lug nuts to screw on the Silverado covers. Even if you used Silverado lug nuts, I think it would stick out and not be flush with the rest of the wheel. I can get you some pics of the Sierra wheel tomorrow. With the cover on and off. Measurements too if you like.

The tires and wheels in this pic are FOR SALE. Only have 2,500 miles on the rubber...

They kind of look like that, but I htink they had some red on them (not the GMC letters either). I can't remember for sure though.

I'll get a better pic tomorrow for you. These are aluminum with the plastic snap in insert cover. I've seen the same wheel with GMC in red, but I've also seen others with no red letters, like mine.

No prob.

I have also seen them around here with the grooves in the spokes painted red.
