firecadet613 Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 It has a 210 thermostat that I'm going to change out tomorrow, but other than that the water pump is brand new, coolant is good, but I'm going to give it a cooling system flush tomorrow. Is there anything else I can do?
bowtie_pasta Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 Yup, change the t-stat first thing. My 97' started overheating around 97k. Changed it and she's been fine since. I really doubt it's you water pump. Also, you might want to think about doing the fan clutch too, it's easy, they are relatively cheap, and they are only good for about 100k. later
BDBWTE Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 Water Wetter Rodger the Water Wetter it works good. Add this to the new T-stat and you should cool down. I have Water Wetter in my 2002 2500HD. No problems.
