i think i fixed it 2004 water leak

I have a 04 standard cab that had a water leak .it was collecting water at the drivers side floor board.water was showing at the kickpanel .I replaced the door seal and that helped some but what fixed the leak was the round black plug in from the door speaker wires into the cab . I put silicone all around it .after three hard rains this week and its still dry ,I declare it fixed .hope this easy repair helps someone.
