I emailed this to Rancho.....

Jason Gaertner has a vehicle with the following characteristics:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Make: Chevrolet

Model: Silverado 2500HD (9200#) 4x4

Year: 2001

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Jason Gaertner submitted the following questions:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: I have lifted the front end of my truck by changing the torsion keys and cranking the torsion bars to raise it roughly 2". I have also added a 2" lift block to the rear.

When hitting large holes or bumps, I'm hearing a popping noise from the front end and I believe it is my stock shocks topping out. I am not sure about the rear but I would imagine they are topping out as well.

I am looking at getting the Rancho RS9000X shocks for the front for sure and maybe even the rear also. Can you give me part numbers for front and rear?

Also, when do you think y'all will run another Buy 3 shocks, get the 4th free deal?

Thanks

Here is what I got back......

Thank you for your interest in Rancho products. The next longer shock I have for the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is for a 4" lift. This shock

will probably bottom out on the front. The part number is RS99289. The

rear shocks should be okay with a RS99297.

If you are interested in the part number for the stock length shock for the front is RS99288.

Don't know the PN off hand but the 9000x's I got for my 02 2500HD are for 0"-2" lifts, and that's according to Rancho themselves. AAMOF, I have an email from them that says they work just fine with the new tbar keys that give 2" of lift.

Where did you get those 2 inch rear blocks from? I'm thinking about doing that myself, but was afraid of axle wrap. I also can't afford to compromise the weight handling or towing capacity/safety. Any problems with them?
