Debadging my truck

I want to debadge my truck sometime soon, possibly by the weekend if I get enough input and was wondering if any of ya'll have done it and what kind of products I need? I just read in Truckin' today that you can use a heat gun to het the stripping up, but they did it on a Chevy with the flexible stripping. But I have the chrome strips on each side and don't know how easily they will peel off? One guy told me I could get some adhesive remover and spray it on the top of the strips and let it soak in and pry it off. I'm kinda skeptical about it, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, what brand products would work the best?

Thanks,

Chris

There is also an article on this in this months Truckin magazine. I just got mine in the mail last week so should be in the store soon I would think. They show two methods for removal. For some they use a credit card to start getting a corner up and the other method is dental floss turned on itself twice. Both require heating with a heat gun first. Then they say all you have to do is clean up with a cleaner/wax such as Maguires or something like that. You might want to check out if they have a website.

I read that article yesterday afternoon and thats exactly what I did. I did the back today and took the GMC, SIerra, dealership badges off. I decided to get up alot earlier tomorrow and do the side strips b/c it was soo d**n hot today and i was too hungover to be out in the sun sweating! But after I finished the back I was a little skeptical bc it looked like the areas were scratched, but after i washed and cleaned it..it turned out PERFECT! I can wait till i'm 100% clean!
