Prayers and thanks

Well, there was another friendly-fire incident in Afganistan today. A US Air National Guard F-16 accidentally dropped a laser-guided bomb on a group of Canadian soldiers. 4 were killed and 8 were very seriously injuried. Here is the story...

4 Canadian soldiers killed...

I just wanted to let all of you Canadians on the board know that my prayers are with the families of your fallen soldiers and your country. It is a terrible tradegy that they had to lose their lives in a 'friendly fire' incident, but I am sure they were glad to have given their lives in the fight against terror. Your country should be proud, they are true heroes.

Also I would just like to thank all of you Canadians for the support you have and are still giving to the United States. You are a great neighbor and the best friend a country could have. I love your country and can't wait to get back there again. Thanks again. God Bless y'all.

I too would like to offer my condolences to our Canadian neighbors. There could be no greater commitment from any person than to give his/her life in fighting for a just cause. Unfortunately no thanks or sorrow could really indicate how we share your loss. We just have to hope you know. I too have made several trips to Canada and would have to say that the Canadian people I’ve met are wonderful. Though it doesn’t help, I’d like to say thanks and I look forward to looking at the falls from the “good” side again.
