Hail Damage on S10

We had a hail storm last night and my old S10 that I was just about to sell suffered some damage.

I was wondering how hard is it to perform the paintless dent repair yourself?

I have mechanical experience, but really no experience with bodywork.

Any help is appreciated!

Depending on where the dents are located.  Some of the places on the hood would be fairly easy as long as it isn't under one of the braces.  The roof would be a PITA.  Will have to remove the headliner.  It has been quite a while since I have torn into an S10.  Can't remeber how large of an access hole is in the roof.  The bed rails will be a PITA.  The double wall design really prevents you from getting to some areas easily.  If you can get to the dents easliy just work slowly and don't overstress the metal.   Good luck if you plan to tackle the project.  :D

I had an over the rail bedliner so there is no damage to the bed rails.  There are dents in the roof and the hood.

Thanks for the information.  Do you have any suggestions on where to buy the tools to do it?

Thanks.

You can probably get a cheapie set of hammers and ding dollies from someone like Autozone or online from Northern Tool.  Cost around $20 per set.

Northern Tool

I got a set of hammers and dollies from Eastwood several years ago for my resto shop.  I made a few tools in the machine shop so I could do real hard to reach places before commercially available tools were available.  The commercial PDR tools would be pretty expensive for what you are wanting to do.  Hammer and dollies are probably your best bet.  Keep in mind that you will have to have a second body to help you out with some of these dents in the hood and roof.  Do you have any pics of the damage?
