NEW LEER TOPPER for 2013 - CHEVY vs GMC FIT

Hey all I have a quick little FYI for those who may want to know

 

I'm posting this so If anybody else was wondering if you could swap a topper from a 08-13  Silverado to a Sierra or vice versa

 

I recently picked up a LEER 100R topper off a 2013 Silverado 5'8" box to put on my 2013 GMC SLT 5'8"..... the price was ridiculous (Under $200 bucks) and it's in great shape so I grabbed it....but it's a wee bit OFF towards the tailgate (topper is tappered at the back vs. my truck bed)

 

But for all the OCD guys out there (myself included)   - it works - but off.

 

The wife & I recently purchased a toy hauler camper and ran into a issue hauling the dogs in the cab with us.  I didn't want to drop 2K on a topper just to put kennels in the back

 

I researched the WEB for info, and all I found was a random post that said  the boxes on these trucks were "slightly" different?  The inside dimensions - no problem.  The outside dimensions seem to be another issue both at the rear and seemingly the side(s).

 

Now I'm sure I can make this work w/o looking "squirrley"  (you have to look hard to see the fit is off at a distance)

 

I plan on applying LINE-X or RAPTOR bedliner coating, as it's  silver and my truck in RED to copy the look of the  OTC option on A.R.E. brand  ( see stock pic) and adding a roof rack.  I'll also be reinstalling my bushwacker side rail covers (took them off before I test fit the topper)
