How big?? ;) Tires of course....

I have a z71 98 OBS stock...and wondering...about 285/75/16 (I know they will fit) or 305/70/16's...heard they'd fit...oh and I'll probably be runnin em on stock rims for awhile..

...I dunno at the moment how to do a poll on here...probably just missed somethin. anyways what would you get/suggest?

oh and I'm probably gonna get Mastercraft MT's or some good but lesser expensive mud tire for snow, mud, ice, rain, everything year round.

Stock 95 K1500 with torsion bars turned. 295/75/16 BGF Ats. Minor rubbing on hard turns. Solution, body lift. I doubt you will fot 305s, or even be able to find a place that will mount them on stock rims. I think for K1500chevy97, the biggest the stores would mount of his stock rims were 265s.

yeah i wasn't sure about 305's but I've heard from a few people on here and on MCT that you can...I'm hoping to lift my truck in 6 mths or no longer than a yr...so if i could fit the 305's for awhile...till my lift (want a susp lift)...then I'd be good to go...but not sure if that'll work or not....if not I'll probably get the 285/75/16's

here are the stats on the ones I want:

305/70/16 32.85x11.9

or 285/75/16 33.1x11.3 if I absolutely must I'd go to a 265/75/16....

My 97 has 33x12.50's on it, I turned the torsion bars 6 times and added a rear block lift. Had to trim some on the black plastic lower bumper. They fit with 10" wide rims, no rubbing. After the BL I have tons of clearance and will go up to a 35 or 33 inch tire 14.50" wide next summer. My brother in law has 305/70's on his stock Z71 rims, local offroad shop put them on. Chris

I'll try to get some pics with my digital cam asap. Might be the middle of next week before I will see him though. I've not had any trouble out of my ProComps, they've got almost 40K miles on them and they've only lost about a 1/4". I drove in snow up to about 6" last winter, no problems. They are sipped from the factory, so they grip much better than a solid block design. My brother in law went with Super Swamper STS Radials. It's their All Terrain tire, but it's much more aggressive than say a BFG AT. Chris

I got 285/75R16's with 16x10 rims on my stock 2000 Sierra 4x4. It rubs on the wiper fluid container on tight turns. Planning to get a PA 3" lift this weekend to solve the problem. It also sticks out the wheel wells by about 3", which means I got to get fender flares to save the paint on the side panels.

I haven't got any pictures yet, but it looks sweet...

Will post pictures later after the lift and the flares.
