So, you started with a 2wd truck, with a 4l80e, and you are upgrading the truck to 4wd?

If so, there should have been nothing to be done for the transmission wiring, and you just get the wiring harness from a 4x4 truck for the transfer case (only the wiring harness for the transfer case) and it just plugs in.  I did this exact thing with my '04 Sierra, and it just worked.  The existing wiring in the truck needed no modifications, just used the transfer case wiring harness from my parts truck ('06 Sierra 2500), plugged it into my truck (it plugs into a connector underneath the housing of the fuse box under the hood) and the actuator properly worked as the transfer case shifted.  The only thing missing is the 4wd light in the IP, which requires an option to be added to the IP configuration, then it being reflashed.
