Hey guys,

 

Did some searching I have found conflicting information

Anyway, I have a 2011 Silverado LT non bose with the stock radio, XM, and onstar. I am looking at adding the 2012+ HDD navigation setup to replace the stock radio unit. I know that I will need a seperate amp, wiring kit, and GPS antenna, but my question is does it have to be sent in for programming, or could a Tech II do it. Are the VIN relearns, backup camera programming, hands free, and other features changed with the Tech II or do I need to mail it out? I know on the older 07-11 factory navs you could at least to a vin relearn with a Tech II - not sure about the HDD ones though
