Gear Ratio.... Typical RPO code missing!

Hey, I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado z71 extended cab 4x4.
 

I know typical GT4, GT5, GU4,5,6 codes. 
This has a GI4.... Did they forget to cross the T? Nothing looks like it was rubbed off.

It looks to me as if the "I" in GI4 is a little short.  It likely used to be a T, or was supposed to be a T and something went wrong.

That’s what I was thinking but wanted to see if someone else has seen this. Thank you
