New and Questions.

Hey everybody. I am new here and have some questions. First off I have a 95 GMC 1500 with a 4.3 V6.

 

1 When I turn on the fan with the lower vents open everything is fine. When I change it to the upper vents nothing comes out. The blower is still working though.

 

2 My air conditioning started to get slightly warmer then it just completely stopped. When you push the button the light does not even come on. I checked the fuses and they are good.

 

3 I am trying to remove the door panels. I removed the arm rest and the window crank but the panel is not popping off. Do I just need to pull harder or do I need to start at a certain spot?

 

4 I am thinking about replacing the 4.3 with a V8. I moved up into the mountains and it is having a hard time going up the hills. Is there a motor and year that would be an easy swap?

 

Thanks in advance for your help. I know I need to buy a new truck but I am unemployed right now and this just has to last me for a while.

If I recall correctly, there is a special little tool that pops some clips and will then allow your door panel to be removed. I have no idea the proper part number or anything, but I'm sure you local GM dealer could give you the full scoop.

 

I have no idea on the other stuff.
