knocking noise from under the steering wheel 2011 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab

I have a new noise coming from under the column of the steering wheel.  I don't hear the noise under the hood.   Can you tell me what this new noise might be?

Most likely number 11 and 12
Steering shaft upper bearing inner race and seat. Bearings wear out in certain spots and make this loose/knocking noise.
