Tri-Mode power steps erratic

I have the tri mode power steps on my 16 sierra and the passenger board randomly extends out and goes to the extended to tire position. It will do it while truck is shut off and when sitting in park while running. Completely random. Couple of times when I opened the driver door it activated the passenger board. I know the control module is located on the driver side mount. I unhooked both plugs and blew them out but problem remained. I know it could be 100 different things but what are the chances the module is bad? Do those need reprogrammed if replaced or does the truck relearn new module? Also the kick switch quit working last summer but were backordered so I haven't replaced and while messing with it during erratic behavior it worked but again it doesn't work.

Tried the kick switch again when the board was extended and it works. I'm starting to think the switch is half bad and when it starts working it triggers it to come out. I cant find a part number anywhere. Can anyone help?

Did you ever find a solution on this? My truck just started doing the same exact thing.
