Automatic to manual transmission swap

I am planning on changing my 1994 k1500 4x4 from auto to manual next spring. What is the best manual transmission for my truck? It will not be a daily driver after the swap...mostly hunting and camping. I have a budget of about $5000 for the swap. I do plan on doing it myself I have plenty of experience doing swaps I have just never done auto to manual and I know there is a bit more work that goes into it. I am looking for suggestions and tips on the best way to complete the project. Thank you in advance.

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
