2018 Silverado/2019 Silverado LD Aux Battery Tray Swap

I was looking for the aux tray for the 2019 Silverado LD/2018 carryover and with zero help from the dealer and to many chances buying blind online....off to scrap yard I went.

 

Found a tray from a 2015 Silverado with an aux tray, GM part number 25826079.

 

Looked correct, until I got home....

 

Only 1 difference...the slotted hole to mount the washer bottle

 

Some quick drill and die grinder work, and some touch up paint, and off we go....

Where the hell do you live where a 2017 silverado is in a part yard? In Colorado you'd be lucky to find any full size gm from 2000 with anything left on it... im also planning on doing this mod...

We have a 2 mile long stretch of road that is all scrap yards...most yards are 2007 and older, but 1 if them has a small lot of about 150 cars/trucks that are newer, most of them get the motors, trannies and good parts pulled before they hit the lot, but there's always a few goodies left over

Nice! Thanks for the info. Yeah we have a u pull and pay, and an lkq in Denver and both of those also in aurora and a few south in castle Rock and the springs

Forgot to put that im in omaha, nebraska,of the few things we have a bunch of, corn, and a bunch of wrecked, scrape cars and trucks....lol
