engine trans combo

i have a 97 1500 wt with a strong 4.3L in it but i hate the trans(4L60E) can i put in a t300 or 700r4 also how hard would it be if i were to put a 350 in place of the 4.3

the 700R4 is the non-electric version of the 4L60E so it will fit, also a TH350 or 400 will fit. Essentially all the GM engines/transmissions in these trucks have the same bellhouse pattern and will fit together.

 

The 350 should also swap nicely, although you will probably need a different computer and larger radiator
