Steering wheel airbag issue

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I have a 2017 Sierra that had front end damage. I replaced both front bags, impact sensors, clock spring, and had seatbelts and module reset. I'm getting a service airbag message, and the code I'm getting is:

B0012-0E - Driver steering wheel airbag deployment loop stage 2 - Low Resistance.

I checked all connectors, and tried again and same thing. I am not zeroing out in resistance between pins in each harness plug for bag, which I believe is necessary?

Thanks in advance!

Low resistance is most likely an issue with the connector that plugs into the airbag. The center piece that pushes in is very important and if its broken or not pushed in all the way then the resistance will be low. That or they messed up the airbag control module when they reset it.
