Hi, I have 2012 Silverado 2500 and I'm looking for tailgate assist shock recommendations. Recently I had a minor back injury that made difficult for me to open and close the tailgate. I've been trying to research of a tailgate assist shock and read some stories that some owners experienced the during install that it does not fit perfectly. Some shares the gas damper doesn't last long enough so he had to buy another one. There is this site that I read : ?
