Just checking to see if anyone knows of a forum for Chevrolet cars. Just bought an "03" SS Monte Carlo and I would like to find a forum for information on the car!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it have the supercharged 3.8? If so you will not be disapointed. There are planty of aftermarket parts for them, and 3.8 is a d**n good motor supercharged or not.:D

'03's I weren't S/C'd. That's an '04 option.

I know our '03 SS is plenty quick for my 53 y/o mother regardless without the S/C.

What do you want to know about it. It's got a kick a$$ aluminum engine cradle that makes for easy cleanup with some Brake Kleen when you change that d**n oil filter and spill oil all over the passenger side of it. :P Lot's of room under the hood to work on it too!

Yeah, but all you have to do to get to stuff on the back is remove the front engine mounts and rock the engine forward. And the oil filter goes for just about every GM. :P

I tried that site earlier - there seems to be a problem getting to it.

Gm-Cars hasnt been up (purpously I believe) since the server crash a while back.

My aunt has one. Her and my uncle seem to like it although now my uncle wants to trade it for a GTO. :P

That procedure is for any GM front wheel drive, V6 powered car. Go to my webshots photo directory and in the Monte Carlo's folder you'll see me doing that on my 96 Monte.

And no, not all have the oil filter in such an assinine location as the new Impala's and Monte's. Most have it on the front side of the block between it and the radiator. When you take it off, the oil goes straight down and NOT all over the front engine cradle like these Monte's and Impala's with their filter in behind the front passenger wheel well jsut above the cradle.
