Six lug conversions

Just out of curiosity, has anyone swapped to six lugs on a 2WD 88-98 truck? I have just noticed that there are more six lug rims available than five lug.

I think that you could use spindles, rotors, calipers, and a rear axle from a 88-90? light duty 3/4 ton. I'm not sure, but that may also give you a brake upgrade and definately a stronger rear axle. If I still had a 88-98, it's something I'd look to do too.

The front will swap out with a c2500 LD, but you may need to swap the entire rear axle, not sire whether the LDs had 10 bolt or 14 bolt rear ends.

My dad's K2500 LD has a 14 bolt. If for what ever reason you don't want the 14 bolt, you could always take a 10 bolt out of any 88-98 K1500.
