billet grills

Just would like to get some input on who everybody thinks makes the best grill , seems that carriage works is solid , and some of the others are e- channel, who else makes them out of solid stock, all opinions welcomed.

I ordered a Trenz from Ebay. Paid $108- plus 6- shipping. Should have it tomorrow and installed after xmas. Will let you know how it is. The grill I really wanted was from Traders. I forget who makes it, but it is cut out of a solid piece of single billet. It is the framed kind. There is a truck on the cover of last months Sport Truck mag that has it. Looks insane. But it's like 300-. I've heard nothing but good things about the Trenz grill, that's why I decided to buy that one. Also have heard good things about Carriage Works.

Kurnell, the grill I was thinking of is made by Precision Billet. It really looks good. Too bad its like almost $300. Got my Trenz today and am anxiously waiting for xmas to put it on. I snuck it out of the box today b4 the wife got home and did a test-fit. I'm thinking about cutting the existing grill out instead of just doing the bolt-over. In daylight, you can see right through the billet and the stock grill is very visible. I didn't like that too much. Anyone else have this opinion with a bolt-over design??

I have always installed Trenz billet grills. The fit is very good! I installed one on a 04 Silverado last week for a friend. They have changed the design to either be a bolt over the stock grill or cut out the existing grill and pop rivet it in place. I put it over the existing grill and was done in about 15 minutes!

I've had my Carriage Works in for a year now and it still looks great. It was easy to install and fit perfectly. Also, it was priced the same or lower than the others. I like the fact that it is hand welded as opposed to some mass-produced unit. In my opinion, hand-welding gives it a uniqueness that the others don't have.

UPDATE: Got my Trenz polished grill on and it looks awesome!! I decided not to cut out the original grill and just do the bolt-over. The stock grill is only visible up close and if the lighting is just right. It took me 10 minutes. Really makes the front end stand out. No complaints at all.

Very nice and that's what I did as well. I just bolted it over the stock one and you can't even see it through the Trenz until you get right up on it of from a certain angle...simple to do and the difference it made was well worth it!! Congrats!!
