What is the rule of thumb as far as using teflon tape on AN and NPT fittings? I think I read on the LS1 forum that you're not supposed to use tape with AN fitting, but you do with NPT?? The reason I'm asking is I am installing my fuel pressuer gauge tomorow, and I don't want gas flying everywhere, and I don't wanna screw anything up either by using the tape.

What you heard is correct. Use Teflon tape for NPT.

The AN fittings do better without it but if they are

aluminum, put a drop of oil on the threads to prevent

galding. :cheers:
