Vortex exhaust...anyone heard of it???

my local muffler shop guy is recommending a Vortex muffler

as an alternative to the Flowmaster 70 (a little more outside

noise/not loud in cab). Anyone know anything about it?

Ya, Ive heard of it. Friend of mine had it on his 5.9L Dodge and it was insanely loud. Now he has it on his F-250 V-10. Not as loud but still up there. I would recommend either the 50 or 70 series for you. I got a 50 series Delta Flow and its perfect. Loud when you get on it, but quiets down while cruising. Heres a link to the V-10 exhaust. I had the Vortec on my 98 and I thought it created an annoying hum from 1800 to 2300 rpms. inside the truck. It hurt my kids ears.

My neighbor now has it on his 2001 Tundra V8 and it sounds great outside and inside the truck. It's loud. Not obnoxiously loud but you know that he's going by the house when he drives down the street.

I think it's a very well made muffler. Try it out.
