'03 tahoe auto adj. seating....

ok, parents got a '03 tahoe 2wd not fully loaded just the basic power stuff etc..

when you start it up it says "driver 1" so i looked in the manual on how to set up the auto position seating for different drivers and it says to press select button and a few others that i dont have(or cant find?) and a few other steps. im thinking the computer is set up for the option but it wasnt a option on their particular truck or part of the package. there is a worthless little cubbie hole filler piece between the left vent and the gage clusters on the left drivers side. im guessing these missing buttons or 4wd buttons would go here? no big deal if the tahoe doesnt have it, just if its there why not use it? correct me if im wrong PLEASE!

I would say that you need a fully activated, and functioning DIC (Drivers Information Center.)

For this you would need the steering wheel controls.

Do a search on it, but I think Lyrmal and others have hit a brick wall when it came to upgrading after the fact.

My friend's 03 Yukon has the memory function for the seat. There are buttons on the driver's door above the power window switches.

I didn't know you could get a Tahoe/Yukon without the steering wheel controls :seeya: I bet it has a 4.8L doesn't it?

That position left of the driver is where the 4x4 buttons or Traction control button are placed.

yours does not have memory seats, it only recognizes different drivers from the key fobs, which will only remember radio stations if I recall correctly.
