At about the same time, the USB ports in my console completely stopped working and the two in the dash stopped connecting for data (USB stick stopped playing music and Android Auto will not connect).

Tried different cables, cleaned the ports, checked the fuses. Took to BestBuy for Samsung technical support and they couldn't get a "lesser" phone to connect and observed no USB play and dead console ports. Is it the radio that went bad... or an interface unit... or ???

Try disconnecting your battery for 30 mins and see if that helps.
