I just installed a 6 inch fabtech lift on my 2003 1500hd. I am running 315/70r17 bfg's. When i accelerate vfrom a stop i get a shutter. It goes away after i get going but don't know why it is there. Any help would be great.

Make sure your drive shaft is at the correct angle. I assume you got an alignment and your tires balanced? Are you sure it's just not the tires? Are they AT's or MT's....if you have big lugs your gonna shake a little at really slow speeds.

They are bfg all terrains. It's not really a vibration. It is a shudder like the whole truck shakes but just for about 2 seconds and then goes away. One thing i am going to try is to lower the center support bearing a little more to try to get the driveline straighter. Any suggegtions would be great.

do you have a 2 piece rear driveshaft? if so, that is your problem. you need to drop that bearing. the fabtech kit comes with a bracket for this.

if you do not have a 2 piece driveshaft, i have no suggestions for you.

both my 6 and 8" fabtech kits have been smooth with out any vibrations

good luck

Either 2 or 1 pc. drive shaft you need to have the pinion angle correct.

I think most companies that sell lift kits also have shims for this problem.

Could be axle wrap, my lifted 3500 has it mildly, but not enough to bother me. If you have a 2 piece driveshaft, it could very well be the launch shudder that has been mentioned before on this forum. If my memory serves me, some dealers were replacing the 2 piece with a one piece under warranty.
