Must agree about the MTR's.  So many people have bfg's its almost sickening.  I even had a set and wasn't overly impressed with them.  I've just picked up 3 285 MTR's.  I'll have another two soon.  Then i'll have them mounted.

So far I am very happy with my BFGs. The only complaint I have is they pick-up some pretty big rocks. I was thinking about having my rocker panels Line-Xed. Now I have a reason.

I just bought some Cooper Discoverer A/Ts in a 265/75/16 8 ply and they look awesome IMO! Very quiet on road and handle very well, havent had them off, but they look pretty capable for the occasional off roading! And cheaper than most other tires! Will let you guys know how they are long term!!

I've had a few sets of various Goodyears, and while the performance was fine I don't think they wear as well as some other brands.  As far as BFG's-the jury is still out for me on how well they wear long term.

I'm happy with the performance/ride/traction so far though.  I have a set of ATKOs 265/75 with about 12000 miles on them and they seem to be wearing nice and slow! :P

Well this is my second set of goodyear, first set were the MT's on my 97 Z71 and i have no complaints as of yet,I haven't even had a flat.Besides being well constructed they pull with the best of the best according to 4wheeler mag tests the only tire that out performed the MTR's in the mud were the bogger's and I don't think Hummer would deliver their vehicles with second rate tires.I did have a set of cooper AT's on my company vehicle and the did do well in the sand and they did last pretty well. The Goodyears are very expensive, some people just don't want to spend the extra bucks,I am telling you they are worth every penny....Gun

MTR's are $$$.  Specially with warranty, mounting, and balancing.  Oh and I've looked for cheaper online, price equals out almost everywhere on MTR's still 170 with shipping and handling.  But man the suckers are heavy.... sidewalls are thick as #### too.

I met a guy the other day that had an '02 GMC 4x4 HD ext. cab. He had on a set Mickey Thompson Baja Claws 305/75/R16 mounted on a set of Westin's 16x10. This truck was bright red, he had the torsion bars cranked, and trimmed the air dam just a hair. This was possibly the best looking truck I've ever seen.

I told him about gm-trucks maybe  someday we'll get to see some pics.
