2021 Silverado 2500 HD review

Pretty simple fellas.

I bought her in March 2021 - straight off the train from Detroit (well, from there on the hauler to the dealership) - it came in that morning, but it takes quite a while from the dealership to do the mandatory check- at any rate, got it late that evening.  

Right at 31,000 miles later, I can say without a doubt, this has been the finest vehicle I've ever owned.  

It's made a many a long trip hauling a 13k 5th wheel and being a daily driver. 

And never any problems save the tailgate messing up. Never has the oil been low. I've had the dealership take note of the level when the oil was changed. Btw, I use Pennzoil Platinum with a Wix XP filter.  At the beginning, I drove it 500 miles with no towing and had the oil changed. The motor really quieted down after that 1st oil change. I also added a GM Borla Exhaust. I can't recommend one enough! Absolutely no drone! But, as I was saying, she's been perfect save the tailgate issue. 

Imo, this is by far and away the best Heavy Duty Gas Truck ever made. 

I especially LOVE the power train

 which is really what makes this the best. That Cast Iron Block, Steel Crank, wonderful beefed up 6 speed tranny & a radiator the size of Montana - it's bullet proof 

I gotta be honest, I wouldn't take a 10 speed over this 6 speed. 

This 6 speed tranny is basically bullet proof.  This is a truck that can last so very long if she's maintained and doesn't get that 4 letter word that starts with an R.

My only complaint is with the seats. They could've made a more comfy seat imo.
