Is this an alternative to keys?

What about taking out the stock bolt and putting in a longer one allowing you to crank more and get more lift, plus the torsion bar could flex more since the bolt would have more treads on it?

Or do they keys allow for the CV angles to be flatter?

The stock keys can only go so far, regardless of how long the bolt is. The green keys re-index the tbars, so they start at a different position. That's their "magic", not longer bolts.

The "keys" are what is on the torsion bars to adjust ride height and quality. You only would get new keys if you wanted to adjust past what the stock keys would provide. A 1/2 ton has green keys stock and need "ford" keys to adjust past the stock. And a 3/4 ton has purple keys stock and needs green keys to adjust past the stock. For more information do a search for "ford keys" and you will find all kinds of information.

Hope that helped,

Matt :D
