2015 Sierra 2500HD SLE Amp Steps

Just picked up a Red 2015 Sierra 2500 HD Duramax with a 6in lift. It has some side steps on them but not low enough. Climbing in and out is fun the 1st couple times but I'd really love to get the Amp Steps XL... Amp states they won't work on the Diesel bc of the computer not being compatible.... 

 

Has anyone done the XL Amp steps on a lifted Diesel ?  Hard wired? Maybe used the magnet switches? Any info maybe on another brand that can drop lower than the normal 4in of the regular steps.... I did a search on here and didn't find much on steps at all... Maybe it's not a thing... Thanks in advanced.

While I do not have a diesel, I can tell you I installed the AMP power steps off my old 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 onto my 2017 Sierra 2500HD Gas no problem at all. Ran the wires into the door panels and hooked the triggers up to the door lock/latch wiring and they've been working for 5+ years. I have installed AMP power steps on diesels in the 14-19 year range, again without issue. The only thing that's different as far as I know is the right front step mount/pivot. It's different to clear the DEF tank obviously.
