Westers + 5.7 = ?

Pondering a Westers PCM in my 2000 K2500HD LS Crew Cab w/5.7

 

Anybody have experience with this combo? Power? Economy?

 

If I were worried a/b gas, I wouldn't have bought a 5,700lb truck, but I wouldn't complain if it got better. I'm sure the Dualer A/T on M/T wheels don't help a lot either.

 

93 or 87? (I tow a 5,000lb horse trailer regularly)

 

Just going to Ass.U.Me that I should drop a 160 thermostat in.......

p.s. any performance upgrades anyone would recomend? I've had this thing a while, but think it's time for a little more power.....

I have heard people in here that have upgraded their Vortec 350's with a Westers PCM and have been very impressed.

 

My friend at work just added the Westers to his 2000 K2500 7.4L and the difference is night and day!!! He is very impressed!!!

 

Lyndon wester claims that there can be 1-2 MPG increase with his "tunes", but that depends on how much fun you have driving your truck with its' newly found HP.
