After market Silverado parts

I just got a 2004 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab and can't find onyone who makes the covers or bed liners. :( This short box is even shorter (5'8" I think) than the regular short bed and no one makes these products for them yet. Or at least I haven't found one yet.

Has any other new owners found this to be the case as well?

It usely takes a few months for aftermarket companies to jump on the bandwagon after a new model/design is introduced. :(

I have the same truck on order but in a GMC. This is what I know Leer has toppers available and maybe a cover you can check the leer.com website for dealer and call. I have called around and the dealer I talked to said he was getting in a topper for a 1500CC. Why don't you get a sprayed in bedliner? :(

I think I will eventualy get a sprayed in liner. (Line-x) But not now. I would rather have the fold a cover. As a matter of fact, I called a supplier and he said he don't sell the fold-a-top anymore he said the guy who started the company in Michigan sold it and developed an new top that folds as well but the lock and latch is different. He said when you close the top it will lock / latch down automaticly. Has anyone heard this?

I'm going down there Friday morning to see the brochere. He said the earliest he could get it in was next Tuesday. Unfortunately I will be out of town as of Monday and not back home for 2 weeks.

Neighbors picked up their silver birch 1500 Rado Crew last week...as I steered them away from the Oval x2(on trade). They're getting a bed rug instead of a spray in after looking around(he hauls mostly small carpentry items and handtools in addition to the usual groceries, etc. I know they had an ARE lid on their F150, so there is a wait from ARE on those at this point...the GMC dealer in town did have a folding cover on the back of the crew they had...it apparently was a GM option for $680.

With the shorter bed, it's going to take some time for the aftermarket to get the dimensions for molds and bring the accessories to market. Just hang in there for now and do what you will to have the cargo capacity and limit damage in the mean time.

Well he's an update on the fold a top for the 5'8" bed. They will start shipping it on Monday (3-8-04) The guy who founded fold a top did sell out and is now back in business under the name Advance. It looks like the same cover except the key whole is different and it now has a feature that latches the top down once you close it without having to turn the key. It also has a lever to unlatch it to gain access. Other than that, they are the same.

The cheapest place I found was Zeibart for 650 installed.
