Sierra 2015 Center Console Charger

Hello, 

 

I have a center console with charger on my 2015 sierra.  However,  my newer phone is too big to pick up the wireless charger.   Has anyone done any modifications to accommodate larger phones?  The phone is to wide for the pad.  I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Check out Boost Auto.

I retrofit a charging pad and it easily fits my iPhone 16S Max.
Not sure what is available for your use case.

Thank you.  I asked Boost to get me the dimensions and they tell me its the same as OEM.  Not very helpful.

 

Current Charging Pad: 6.75 H x 3 W,  Galaxy S24 Ultra is 6.39 H x 3.11 W

 

A few questions.

 

Do you have the center console or the jumpseat?

Do you have a case on your phone too? 

 

My Galaxy S24 Ultra is pretty close in size to yours.

I have a QuadLock case for biking and running as well as desk mounts and my truck mount.

 iPhone 16 Pro Max is slightly taller and narrower, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra is wider and thicker, might have something to do with it?

To be fair, I did remove the stock rubber charging pad and replaced it with a 1/16" thick cut of one sided adhesive neoprene rubber to make more room and better contact with the charging coils. Also, this was my first attempt years ago, I probably should remove it and make it fit a bit better since I still have quite a bit on the neoprene roll I bought.

I'm actually looking at this on eBay.  It's a charging pad in itself and may work better.  They may have one for jump seats as well.
