About to buy a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500!

I have been searching this forum for trouble areas but I thought I would see what you guys say. I am about to buy (maybe) a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 short bed. It has the 5.7l and an automatic transmission. Are there any trouble spots that I should look for? I already took it for a drive and it drives & runs really nice. It has 140K miles, which seems high.. Should the miles worry me?

Any heads up would be great!

Personally the miles would not worry me. My 94 has 180,000 and runs like brandnew.

I bought my '95 K1500 a year ago with 142,600mi on it. I have over 156,000 now w/no major problems  (5.7L w/4L60E auto tranny) Heck i just replaced the original starter (factory) last friday.....See if the seller will let you take it to a shop to have it checked over.

Don't forget to check the front differential seals. Leaks seem to be common on that body style. I wouldn't worry about the milage. Those 350s, if maintained properly, will last 200k+.
