Sound System

Just picked up a very clean 93 3500 crew cab dually, Need some help with the audio system though. Stock system three out of four speakers work, I'm not into the big thump thump stuff but I do like GOOD CLEAR SOUNDS! A friend of mind suggested some Kenwood Excelon KFC-X468 4X6 to replace the stock dead players and adding an amp to drive them, also add two 8" sub-woofers and a amp, I'd like to keep the cost down but I understand you get what you pay for!! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

I agree with you friend about replacing the factory speakers but I would go with infinity plates with a mid and a seperate tweeter, they sound awesome. The eights could give you alittle bass if that's what you are looking for, we did an install on a nbs dually with 4 jl audio 8"s under the back seat and it looked good and sounded great.

:flag: I could'nt agree more with ya, I just installed the Infinity Plates and they sound great. Now I just need to get the rest of the system together, Question, is it better to install the subs under or behind the rear seat?

thanks for your input!

That would depend, do the seats flip forward, and lay down flat? If so, I would suggest putting them behind the seat in order to keep your interior cargo capacity.

If they don't flip forward, I'd keep them under the seat, and put the amp in the protected space behind the seat.

That's my .02 anyway. :flag:
